A year ago, we took on Aotea/Great Barrier Island's 'Barrier Bulletin' fortnightly newspaper as an adventure, a part time income, and to connect to our community. This 43-year-old publication has been at the heart of the island, and we’ve worked hard to revive it, mastering new skills and offering a fresh, positive perspective.
The Bulletin has become a welcomed platform for open communication and we’ve received heartwarming feedback from the community—people have thanked us for our articles especially on health, gardening and finance, sharing how we’ve helped them on their personal journeys.
Feeling called to now focus on other things, we decided to sell the Bulletin, yet despite our best efforts, financial times have made it clear that people are struggling to invest in businesses. Our wish is to find someone who will carry it forward with passion, care and commitment, so taking away this constraint, we have now decided to give it away in a competition !
Whilst the new owner receives it for free, your donation helps honor the time, effort, and love we’ve put in, and creates an exchange of energy that benefits them and the entire community. Every donation, big or small, is appreciated.
Competition details are in the 28/11 BB or keep an eye out on Simone's fb :)
Thanks for entrusting us in this incredible journey - let’s keep the Bulletin’s legacy thriving for years to come !
